Community Policing Program
Community policing is a policing method that focuses on building relationships with people in the community. Although it is not a new concept in Bangladesh, the general population still knows very little about it. The idea behind community policing is that by working together to identify and hold suspects as well as bring local issues to the notice of the police, the community may assist reduce crime and lessen fear. There is frequently a disconnect between the police and the people in our communities, particularly in slums. They are often fearful of the police, making crime prevention more difficult.
Our sponsored children, as the next generation, should be familiar with the concept of community policing. It will enable them to contribute to the prevention of crimes and to be responsible members of society. We, therefore, arranged a community policing program for the kids. They actively participated in the initiative and helped to spread the concept in their neighborhood.
