Celebrating Bengali New Year 1430

Pohela Baisakh is annually observed with great excitement and splendor. Pohela Baisakh, one of the most important celebrations in the Bengali community, marks the beginning of the Bengali New Year. The day is spent with loved ones, including family, friends, and family. Pohela Baisakh also gives hope for prosperity, and joy as well as the promise of a better tomorrow.

While the day fell during Ramadan this year, the celebrations are a little unusual. Usually, the day begins with a breakfast of panta-ilish (watered rice and fried hilsa fish). But this year, the celebrations mainly began following the iftar. As a way to welcome and wish everyone a happy Bengali new year, our sponsored kids created posters. They celebrated the day with us and enjoyed making colorful posters together.
