At Shapla Foundation, we believe that education goes beyond textbooks. Providing children with opportunities to develop practical skills, explore their creativity, and build confidence is an important part of helping them prepare for the future.
Recently, we organized a Resin Art Workshop for our sponsored children. The workshop was designed to introduce them to a unique and creative art form while also helping them develop a valuable hands-on skill.
During the workshop, our older children first received training from our volunteers. They learned about the materials used in resin art, the safety precautions that should be followed, and the techniques needed to create beautiful resin pieces. After learning the basics, they had the opportunity to practice their new skills and create their own artwork.
As part of their learning process, the older participants were then encouraged to teach the younger children what they had learned. This peer-learning activity served as a practical assessment of their understanding and allowed us to see how much knowledge they had gained from the workshop. It was inspiring to watch them confidently guide and support the younger children throughout the activity.
The workshop provided much more than an introduction to resin art. It helped our children develop communication, leadership, and teamwork skills while fostering their creativity and self-expression. Through this experience, they learned a skill that could potentially benefit them in the future, whether as a hobby, a creative outlet, or even a source of income.
Most importantly, the children participated with great enthusiasm and curiosity. Their excitement, creativity, and willingness to learn made the workshop a truly rewarding experience for everyone involved.
We are delighted to have been able to provide our sponsored children with an opportunity that supports both skill development and creative growth. We look forward to organizing more workshops that inspire learning, creativity, and confidence in the years to come.
