Tobacco Shop Donates to Shapla Foundation
Seymour Tobacco Shop in Seymour, CT collects money in the Shapla Foundation jar to donate to our program. The owner, Minhaz Uddin, is a great supporter of our child sponsorship program in Bangladesh. He added a can with our message on it on the counter and tells customers to donate spare change for our cause.
In the last 2 months, his donation can generated $48.35. This amount may seem very little but when you convert it into Bangladeshi taka, it's over $3,500 BDT. For us, every penny counts. This store will continue to promote our program and ask customers to help through their spare changes. We need all the help we can get.
Minhaz also said that he wants to sponsor a child through our program starting April 2012. We want to thank him for his generosity and wish that his business florishes so he can continue to help us :)
